WAXING

Ideal length for waxing treatments is often around the length of a grain of rice/5-6mm.

1. Avoid heat for 24–48 hours. Skip hot baths, saunas, steam rooms and sunbeds while your skin settles.

2. Keep the area clean and comfortable. Avoid tight clothing, excessive sweating and touching freshly waxed skin.

3. Choose gentle skincare. Avoid perfumed products, harsh exfoliants and irritating active ingredients for at least 48 hours.

4. Exfoliate regularly once settled. After approximately 48–72 hours, gentle exfoliation 2–3 times weekly can help prevent ingrown hairs.

5. Moisturise and protect. Keep skin hydrated, protect exposed areas from the sun and allow around 4 weeks between appointments.
(keeping waxing appointments regular will really help to slow and thin the hair growth, meaning eventually far less maintenance for you!

MICROBLADING

Protect your beautiful new brows as they heal.

1. Keep your brows clean and dry after your appointment, only use the vitamin healing cream gently in the evenings so help skin recovery and moisture.

2. Avoid unnecessary moisture and heat. Avoid swimming, saunas, steam rooms and excessive sweating during the initial healing period. as well as taking care when showering to not get face wet. (try using a flannel gently or facewipes to cleanse the face)

3. Do not pick or scratch. Slight scabbing, Flaking and changes in colour can be normal during healing. Allow the skin to recover naturally. If you pick a scab off before it’s ready it may pull ink pigment away too which will result in patches in the brows.

4. Avoid makeup and active skincare on the brow area. Keep exfoliating acids, retinoids and cosmetics away from the healing brows until the healing is done.

5. Protect your long-term results. Once fully healed, use sun protection around the brow area and attend your recommended follow-up appointment.

Your brows may appear darker initially before softening as they heal. Full healing and colour stabilisation can take several weeks and will change throughout that process.

Just be patient and trust the process :)

FACIALS

Keep your complexion healthy, hydrated and glowing.

1. Be gentle with your skin. Avoid harsh exfoliants, retinoids and strong active ingredients immediately after your treatment.

2. Hydrate and nourish. Use a gentle moisturiser and drink plenty of water to support overall skin health.

3. Protect your complexion. Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 daily and avoid unnecessary sun exposure.

4. Avoid excessive heat. Skip saunas, steam rooms and strenuous exercise for around 24 hours if your skin is sensitive or flushed. (remember your skin is very clean and vulnerable straight after a facial, especially peels or microneedling) so you are best to avoid anything on the surface that could cause irritation or affect your results!)

5. Maintain your results. Follow your therapist’s recommended homecare routine and book regular facials to support your skin goals. Every 3-4 weeks is ideal for skin maintenance.

TEETH WHITENING

Help maintain your brighter smile.

1. Avoid staining foods and drinks initially. For the first 24–48 hours, minimise coffee, tea, red wine and strongly coloured foods where recommended by your treatment protocol. We call it the white diet because initially you want to avoid colour as the teeth are so clean and vulnerable initially.

2. Maintain excellent oral hygiene. Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste and clean between your teeth. a sensitive toothpaste is always good for just before and after the treatment.

3. Be mindful of sensitivity. It doesnt happen often with the procedure we do as its a gentle stain removal as a pose to an enamel effecting treatments. However very occasionally temporary sensitivity can occur for some people. Avoid very hot or cold foods if your teeth feel sensitive.

4. Limit staining habits. Reducing smoking and frequent consumption of strongly coloured drinks can help maintain your results.

5. Maintain your smile. Maintenance appointments can be done every 3-4 months for best results.

MASSAGE

Make the most of your moment of relaxation.

1. Stay hydrated. Drink water after your treatment and avoid caffeine or alcohol if you can as it could cause a headache when combined with dehydration.

2. Allow time to unwind. Avoid rushing into strenuous activity immediately after your treatment.

3. Listen to your body. Mild temporary tenderness can occur after deeper massage techniques. Use or take ibuprofen to help reduce inflammation if necessary. You could also try hot and cold therapies HOT to soothe muscles and COLD to reduce inflammation.

4. Continue your self-care. Consider regular massage to support relaxation and muscle comfort. Most people do every 2-4 weekly appointments to keep muscles supple and healthy (depending on your job and activities between appointments.) But remember ‘prevention is better than cure’ (so keeping muscles healthy and supple can help you avoid actual injuries which of course will need far more intensive treatment.)

SPRAY TANS

Keep your glow looking beautiful for longer. They usually last about 5-7 days with good maintenance!

1. Allow your tan to develop. it takes 8 hours to fully develop. Avoid wearing tight clothing, showering, swimming or applying anything to the skin during that time.

2. Wear loose clothing. Choose comfortable, dark clothing immediately after your treatment to minimise rubbing.

3. Rinse gently. For your first shower, use just lukewarm water no soap and avoid scrubbing your skin. just let it be the rinse off. if you guide it with your hands and wipe it will avoid water marks in the tan. And dab skin dry after rather than rub.

4. Moisturise daily. Once your first rinse is complete, keep skin hydrated to help your tan fade more evenly.

5. Avoid harsh exfoliation. Pat skin dry rather than rubbing, and avoid prolonged hot baths and exfoliating products until you’re ready to remove your tan.

Remember: A spray tan does not protect your skin from UV rays. Always wear SPF.

“Knowing what I should or shouldn’t do after my facial really helps me to get the best results, and I’m so grateful the girls make sure I understand this when I leave after my treatment! Having it available here too is super helpful though, thanks girls!”
